    I know, I know…

    Apr 06, 2010 in Uncategorized

We’re falling behind again on the posting, especially with Helen and Petra having visited us for the last week, and with Easter.  I promise, I’m working on it.  I have all the Easter photos ready to go, and will get the first half put up tomorrow, if I can.

In the meantime, and FAR more importantly, I managed to hook up my dad’s old SLR Prime lens to my camera.  It’s a fairly fast lens (f/1.8, compared to f/3.5 for my kit zoom), which means better low light photos with no flash.  The downside is no auto-focus.  It’s fine for taking pictures of adults or scenery, but there’s no way I could possibly manage many good photos of the boys.  Of course this means I’m itching to spend the $300 to get that 20mm f/1.7 prime for my camera, but since I’m the only person who will read this who knows, or cares, what I’m talking about, I’ll just shut up about it.  The upside, though, is that while practicing with it, I captured some gorgeous photos of Nicholas, that I had to share.  Isn’t he looking so grown up?

Plus you get to see the new ball-pit that Helen, Malin, and Petra bought them as an early birthday present.  It’s actually a small outdoor pool, but for now, it’s in the living room, filled with balls, and often enough, boys.  Thank you, Helen, Petra, and Malin!
