From the girl who has only puked a total of 3 times in my ENTIRE life this story freaks me out. I have full on PHOBIA of puking, so much so, that every time I feel nauseous the panic attack that insuses is almost worse than the original nausea! Yes, nurse Heather doesn't do puke....thus why I'll be a baby nurse forever! Though, I don't mind at all when the animals puke. I agree that the feeling of "if you'll be next" is way worse than taking care of poor sick kiddos who you would do anything for. At least with the animals, I know they won't pass it along to me!

Well - an update for you. I just got a phone call from Joel who was nearing the puking stage of bug. Who will be the last man standing - Malin or I? My bets on Malin. She managed to avoid us all weekend long so maybe she'll survive. As for me, I keep looking at the food I'm eating and think "hmm - I wonder what this will taste like coming back up?" How morbid is that?

Linda - your comment horrifies me. I hope we never experience a day like that - EVER.

You made me truly lol with this story, Katie! :-D I sincerely hope that everyone is well now. Kids seems to baptise anything new. New carpets, new cars, you name it! (For an example of one of our many experiences: Within the first 1/2 hour after arriving home from the car dealership, our then 9-yr old daughter fell against our new car with her bicycle. The long deep scratch all along the passenger door outlasted the car itself.)

And I must let you know that it's been our experience that all FOUR of us became ill within hours of each other when our kids were little. At first, John & I took turns attending to our vomiting kids, but when we started puking, too, it was almost impossible. Oooo...the many joys of parenthood! :-)
